This power cord splitter is used to connect several smaller power consumers like modems, routers and other devices with a small external power supply.
I would not use it to connect the PC or printer. But usually these external power supplies take a lot of space at the UPS and block sometimes UPS power outlets. I have one of those in my UPS ... and would buy another one or two for all my small power supply devices.
